Aria Mia Loberti
ARIA MIA LOBERTI is an undergraduate honors student at University of Rhode Island, triple majoring in philosophy, communication studies, and political science, with minors in ancient Greek and rhetoric. She is an advocate for gender equity and disability rights, particularly for people who, like she, are blind or visually impaired. Her activism has led her to the U.N. and U.N. Women as a delegate, speaker, and Outstanding Youth Award recipient. Alongside her guide dog, Ingrid, Loberti has traveled the world sharing her story of resilience and optimism in the face of adversity, and has been featured forums like Huffington Post, Thomson Reuters Foundation, and TEDx. An aspiring academic, she is already presenting her research professionally and aims to pursue a PhD in philosophy and or rhetoric. Scholarship, she believes, is her most potent form of activism – striving to make sense of our public discourse, lives, and identities. @amloberti
