Beth Carlson
BETH CARLSON is vice president of global talent development for Raytheon Company. She brings more than 30 years of experience to this role. Raytheon Company, with 2014 sales of $23 billion and 61,000 employees worldwide, is a technology and innovation leader specializing in defense, security and civil markets throughout the world. Carlson is responsible for driving Raytheon’s global talent development strategy and execution, predominantly focused on ensuring that the company has a pipeline of leaders prepared – through deliberate development – to advance the company’s mission. Finally, Carlson’s organization is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of Raytheon’s flagship leadership development programs, which are integrated and aligned to Raytheon’s business strategy and core values. These programs have been externally recognized and benchmarked as world class. Before joining Raytheon, Carlson served as vice president of talent management and development for Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance. She previously held the same role at The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. Prior to joining The Hartford in 2004, Carlson worked in the health care division of CIGNA® Corporation, holding various leadership roles of increasing responsibility within Human Resources and business operations.
