Catherine Peterson

Catherine Peterson is the executive director of ArtsBoston, Boston’s largest and most high-impact nonprofit arts service organization. ArtsBoston’s programs connect audiences with local arts groups to strengthen the cultural community. This includes the online arts calendar, ArtsBoston.org, BosTix, a discount ticket programs and the ArtsBoston Audience Initiative, the most comprehensive analysis of local arts audiences. Peterson’s previous arts administration experience included positions at the Worcester Art Museum, Cleveland Orchestra, Columbia Artists Management and English National Opera. Peterson is on the boards of the national service organization Chorus America and Mass Creative, the statewide arts advocacy organization. She is a graduate of Stanford University’s Executive Program for NonProfit leaders and LeadBoston, the National Conference for Community Justice’s social justice leadership program. Born in Berkeley, California, Peterson graduated summa cum laude from Wellesley College.
