Deb Shapiro
DEB SHAPIRO is a global business executive in the biopharmaceutical industry. She leads the Sanofi Genzyme human resources organization, working in collaboration with leaders worldwide to achieve Sanofi Genzyme’s strategic business and people priorities. Sanofi Genzyme focuses on rare diseases, multiple sclerosis, immunology, oncology and rare blood disorders. In addition to culture and engagement, the global team is keenly focused on talent selection and development, as well as organizational development to meet the needs of a growing specialty care business. Shapiro has more than twenty years of progressive human resources leadership experience and is a member of both the Sanofi Genzyme executive leadership team and Sanofi’s global HR leadership team. Her professional experience includes both public and private healthcare and consulting organizations. She returned to the US in 2017 in her current role, following several years of international assignments in Europe, based both in Paris and Amsterdam. Coupled with her extensive background in patient-centric healthcare companies, she is passionate about the plight of patients and families living with ALS.
