Diana Scott

Diana Scott is senior vice president, human resources, for John Hancock Financial, the U.S. division of Toronto-based manulife financial corporation. Scott also served as general manager of the John Hancock Freedom 529 college savings plan. Previously, Scott held a variety of positions within John Hancock including leading the group insurance division, retail long-term care insurance operations and John Hancock’s eBusiness unit. Before joining Hancock in 1998, Scott was managing director of Ingalls One to One Marketing. She has also served as management director at EMI Strategic Marketing and vice president, group account director at Hill Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulous Inc. She is a member of the board of trustees and chair of the Finance and Compensation Committee of the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions, an affiliate of Partners Healthcare Systems, as well as a trustee of the Boston Conservatory. She also is a violinist with the New Philharmonia Orchestra. She graduated from Harvard College with a bachelor’s in German studies.
