JULIA McCARTHY is executive vice president and head of client experience for State Street. In this capacity, she has accountability for ensuring and influencing a best-in-industry experience for our clients. She leads global teams accountable for establishing a holistic understanding of our clients’ wants, needs and experiences through service excellence, execution and outcomes. McCarthy holds several leadership positions internally, including: co-chair of our Executive Talent Council, which advances development and promotion for senior leaders, chair of the global advisory board, and executive sponsor to our Professional Women’s Network focused on career development, business acumen, and other professional skills, and is also a member of Leading Women, a sponsorship program for senior women across the company. McCarthy received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology from Assumption College. She serves on the Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts, Board of Directors for Secure Retirement Institute, and is co-chair of the Board Diversity Committee.
