KAREN CATLIN joined United Airlines in 1986 as a sales representative. During her 37-year career with United, she has held numerous positions with increasing scope and impact throughout the sales division as well as in operations business management. These moves provided the opportunity for Catlin to live in many different locations such as Connecticut, California and Australia, as well as United Headquarters in Chicago. In late 2010, post the merger with Continental Airlines, Catlin became the managing director of sales for the Midwest and Canada. She assumed her current role of managing director of sales effectiveness in 2014. She currently has responsibility for sales training & effectiveness, budgeting & compliance, performance management, business development & inside sales, sales support, internal communications & policy and the India Knowledge Center. Catlin is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a BS in business administration. Catlin along with her husband Bob Live in Long Grove, IL.
