Kristin Jones
Kristin Jones is a junior at Howard University in Washington, D.C. pursuing a bachelor of architecture degree. She is a co-founder of Women SPEAK, a girls’ health and empowerment program that has gained national attention as via the Clinton Global Initiative University Commitment to Action and Brave Life Project by Keds, Seventeen magazine and Girls’ Leadership Institute. As a student at Howard, Jones has served on the College of Engineering, Architecture and Computer Science council and is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Organization of Minority Architects. She holds the position of secretary for NOMAS. Jones is also a member of Alpha Rho Chi, a professional architecture fraternity, where she serves as vice president. She has interned with the NOMA Los Angeles and developed the collateral material and facilitated their summer camp which had the mission of increasing interest and exposing students to architecture. She has volunteered for United Way, CampFire U.S.A., and Foothill Family Shelter and hopes to help girls find a voice in their communities. In the future, she plans to become a licensed architect and a professor. @womenspeakteam
