Kristin Mugford
Kristin Mugford is currently a senior lecturer at Harvard Business School having recently transitioned from serving as a managing director of Bain Capital, one of the world’s leading private investment firms with over $70 billion under management. She joined Bain Capital’s private equity business in 1994 and at age 32, became the first female managing director in the firm’s history. Mugford helped start Sankaty Advisors, Bain Capital’s credit affiliate, and prior to her retirement in 2013, was responsible for the oversight of Sankaty’s high yield investments and a senior member of the firm’s management team. She continues to serve as a senior director of Sankaty Advisors. Mugford is also on the board of directors for Fidelity Charitable and serves as chair of the board of overseers at Boston Children’s Hospital. Mugford graduated from Harvard Business School as a Baker Scholar and earned her A.B. with honors from Harvard College. @kristinmugford
