Nicki Maher

Nicki Maher is the woman behind Alex and Ani’s powerful Charity by Design division. Upon her first meeting with founder and creative director Carolyn Rafaelian, the two started discussing personal views on philanthropy and ended up finishing each other’s’ sentences. A week later, Maher was hired to spearhead the effort of fueling Carolyn’s passion with the Charity by Design division. Before joining Alex and Ani, Maher began her career in the travel industry, where she developed one of the most successful sales careers ever seen at Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruise Lines, being named “Top Sales Rep” by Travel Agent magazine. Charity by Design has exceeded $4 million in donations to partners and over 1200 other various charitable organizations, and is currently partnered with 36 non-profits. Notable partners include: American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Blessings in a Backpack of RI, Hasbro Children’s Hospital, Living Water International, Plan International USA, Tuesday’s Children and Stand Up To Cancer.
