Sam Rapoport
SAM RAPOPORT is senior director of football development with the National Football League. Rapoport spearheads programming that serves to retain, develop and promote qualified diverse candidates into the football operations pipeline at NFL Clubs and the league office. Rapoport created the Women’s Careers in Football Forum, hosted at Pro Bowl in 2017 and 2018. This event served to inspire and connect qualified women to football operations positions in the NFL, CFL and college football programs. As a result, five female coaches and five female scouts who attended the Forum were hired by NFL Clubs for the 2017 season, a record number of female hires for an NFL season. Rapoport also created the first-ever NFL symposium designed to connect women in football operations roles at NFL teams. Before joining the NFL, Rapoport spent six years on the leadership team at USA Football, where she created the Women’s World Football Games, the largest women’s tackle football event in the world. Rapoport has been awarded the NFL Commissioner’s Innovation Award for her creation of a program that fosters football participation for girls. She was recently featured in People Magazine’s 25 Women Changing the World November 2017 issue. Rapoport is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal. @samrap10
