TANYA ALCORN is SVP, Sterile Injectables and Biotech Operations, at Pfizer. Alcorn oversees 20 manufacturing plants globally, which produce more than 200 medicines & vaccines and more than 4 billion doses each year. In her previous role as head of supply chain, Alcorn had oversight of patient demand, supply and inventory management for ~600 products across 175 global markets. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Alcorn led a global team accountable for the supply planning and delivery of Pfizer’s breakthrough COVID-19 vaccine, distributing more than three billion doses of the vaccine all over the globe. Alcorn has a bachelor’s degree in biological science from Rutgers University and a master’s degree in systems engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. Alcorn is passionate about mentoring young women in STEM-related fields and is actively involved in women’s career advancement and mentorship. Alcorn lives in NJ with her husband and three children.
