Teresa Cachero
TERESA CACHERO is the Vice President of Asset Development and Portfolio Management at Biogen, responsible for the end-to-end development of all assets of Biogen’s portfolio from early stage to commercial and life cycle management.
Prior to Biogen, Teresa worked at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, where she was part of the team that developed Kalydeco, the first treatment for cystic fibrosis. Teresa is also an entrepreneur and joined a start-up company, OvaScience, focused on fertility for women where she led all manufacturing, project management and operations activities. Teresa also worked at the Biotherapeutics Technologies department at Pfizer, responsible for portfolio management.
Teresa earned her PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Valladolid, Spain and did her postdoctoral studies in Molecular and Cellular Biology at Harvard University.
